Continuing Education – Landscape Architects
The Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) does not pre-approve any courses or activities for continuing education. It is up to each licensee or certificate holder to become familiar with the statutory requirements and to determine for themselves whether or not a particular course or activity meets those requirements.
Several Northern Green seminars may meet the continuing education requirements outlined in MN Statute 326.107. Final discretion is up to the Board. MDA Pesticide Recertification
There will be a Pesticide Recertification course offered as a pre-conference session on Monday, January 20, 2025 of Northern Green week.
Category P (Vertebrate Pest Control)
This course begins at 7:30 a.m. and will end at approximately 9:00 a.m. For licensed applicators to receive credit for or Category P (Vertebrate Pest) they must also attend the Category A & E Pesticide Recertification track from 9:15 AM – 4:00 PM (details below) and have their license scanned in and out.
Category A & E (Core & Turf and Ornamentals)
This course begins at 9:15 a.m. and will end at approximately 4:00 p.m.
By attending the Pesticide Recertification workshop at the Northern Green on Monday, January 20, you are completing the recertification requirements in Categories A – Core and E – Turf and Ornamentals. This workshop has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA). Licensed applicators with Categories A and E who last attended a recertification workshop in 2023, and newly-licensed pesticide applicators in 2024, must attend an MDA-approved workshop by December 31, 2025. By attending the Pesticide Recertification track and scanning in and out onsite with staff of the Department of Agriculture, applicators will obtain recertification credit.
Applicators must attend the entire Pesticide Recertification track to obtain MDA recertification credit. Attendance will be monitored. The MDA reserves the right to deny recertification credit to participants who arrive later than 30 minutes after the start of the program or who are absent during substantial portions of the program. Workshop participants should bring license and photo identification cards to the workshop.
Power Limited Technician Relicensure
Northern Green will feature a pre-conference session on Monday, January 20 with the opportunity to obtain re-licensure hours towards the Dept. of Labor and Industry Power Limited Technician License.
The course has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry as satisfying eight hours of continuing education requirements for the Power Limited Training Licensure, including 2 hours of code, and 6 hours of technical training.

Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) CEUs
MGCSA received approval from GCSAA for Education Points at Northern Green 2025. (Copies of the Approval Code Notice attendance sheets to submit to GCSAA will be available in the Golf Village room at Saint Paul RiverCentre.)
